The creation of the EU Digital Centre of Excellence is one of the biggest goals of the BETTER Life project, and the consortium is finalizing the development of such a centre these days. But what the so-called Digital Centre of Excellence (shortly DCoE) is? What should it look like?
Simply speaking, the DCoE should serve as an inter-institutional support structure dedicated to enhancing the capabilities of early career researchers (ECRs) in socially engaged research. It should help ECRs boost social engagement in their research and contribute to tackling societal challenges in diverse regional ecosystems.
The centre will consist of several instruments such as toolkits (different tools for supporting socially engaged research), capacity building structure enhancing competencies and skills, and other features facilitating the link between science and society.
