On May 13, 2025, the BETTER Life project proudly took part in the Science Policy Conference hosted by the Polytechnic University of Portalegre. The event brought together researchers, policymakers, and innovators to discuss the vital intersections between science, policy, and society, with a strong focus on international collaboration and interdisciplinary research.
Representing the BETTER Life team, Patrik Toula delivered an online presentation highlighting the project’s major outcomes and contributions to building more resilient and future-oriented research and innovation ecosystems.
Key highlights from the BETTER Life project included:
🔹 Digital Centre of Excellence – a central hub for knowledge sharing, innovation, and digital transformation.
🔹 Toolkits – practical resources designed to support institutions and individuals in enhancing research and innovation capacities.
🔹 Capacity-Building Activities – including dynamic Boot Camps and Summer Schools that empower participants with the skills and tools needed for future challenges.
The event was part of the broader E3UDRES2 Ent-r-e-novators project, which promotes a structured and integrated approach to linking education, research, and innovation across Europe.
We are grateful for the opportunity to share our work and to learn from fellow participants working toward impactful science-policy connections. 🌐✨
