The BETTER Life project may have officially concluded, but its impact on society, industry, and the broader innovation ecosystem remains strong. Demonstrating its commitment to lasting engagement with the quadruple helix of academia, industry, government, and civil society, as two of the project’s core partners – Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU), the project coordinator, and ACEEU (Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial and Engaged Universities) – joined forces to host a major international conference in Prague from 9–12 September 2025.
The event, titled “Higher Education Excellence in the 21st Century: Cultivating Synergies Between Purpose, Strategy and Culture to Drive Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Impact,” brought together 150 participants from 42 countries across all continents – including Europe, Latin and North America, many African and Asian countries, up to Australia and New Zealand – for a full week of collaboration, dialogue, and knowledge exchange.
The Forum spotlighted how universities can transform their institutional identity, strategic direction, and everyday practices into coherent frameworks that drive entrepreneurship, innovation, and global impact. With contributions from worldwide experts, finalists of the 2025 Global Triple E Awards, ACEEU-accredited institutions and applicants, council members, peer reviewers, and project partners, the event became a hub of exchange, inspiration, and networking at the highest level.
By co-organising this conference, CZU and ACEEU ensured that the BETTER Life project’s vision lives on – continuing to foster excellence, collaboration, and engagement even after the project’s formal end. The Forum not only amplified the project’s achievements but also demonstrated how partnerships built during BETTER Life are now serving as pillars for future initiatives. The Prague Forum stands as a vivid example of how EU-funded projects can generate sustainable impact, cultivating new synergies and advancing innovation long after their official conclusion.
